ยูโรอ่อนค่าลงเมื่อเทียบกับดอลลาร์สหรัฐ ที่ระดับ 1.1344 ดอลลาร์ จากระดับ 1.1459 ดอลลาร์ ขณะที่เงินปอนด์อ่อนค่าลงแตะที่ระดับ 1.2609 ดอลลาร์ จากระดับ 1.2738 ดอลลาร์ และดอลลาร์ออสเตรเลียอ่อนค่าลงสู่ระดับ 0.6997 ดอลลาร์สหรัฐ จากระดับ 0.7048 ดอลลาร์สหรัฐ
ดอลลาร์สหรัฐอ่อนค่าลงเมื่อเทียบกับเงินเยน ที่ระดับ 109.19 เยน จากระดับ 109.67 เยน และอ่อนค่าลงเมื่อเทียบกับดอลลาร์แคนาดา ที่ระดับ 1.3585 ดอลลาร์แคนาดา จากระดับ 1.3635 ดอลลาร์แคนาดา แต่หากเทียบกับฟรังก์สวิส ดอลลาร์สหรัฐแข็งค่าขึ้นแตะที่ระดับ 0.9903 ฟรังก์ จากระดับ 0.9824 ฟรังก์
สกุลเงินยูโรอ่อนค่าลงหลังจากไอเอชเอส มาร์กิต เปิดเผยว่า ดัชนี PMI ภาคการผลิตขั้นสุดท้ายของยูโรโซน ปรับตัวลงเป็นเดือนที่ 5 สู่ระดับ 51.4 ในเดือนธ.ค. ซึ่งเป็นระดับต่ำสุดนับตั้งแต่เดือนก.พ.2559 และต่ำกว่าระดับ 51.8 ในเดือนพ.ย. โดยดัชนี PMI ยังคงถูกกดดันจากการชะลอตัวของคำสั่งซื้อใหม่ แม้ว่าการจ้างงานยังคงทรงตัว ขณะที่ความเชื่อมั่นของนักลงทุนอยู่ที่ระดับต่ำสุดในรอบ 6 ปี
